მშვენიერი გოთიკ/პოსტპანკ ჯგუფი Red Lorry Yellow Lorry ლიდსიდან. 80-იანი წლების ანდერგრაუნდ მოძრაობის ღირსეული წარმომადგენელი. ჯგუფმა თავისი მუსიკა გაამდიდრა სტილისტური ექსპერიმენტებით, რაც აშკარად გამოარჩევდა მათ იმ პერიოდის უაზრო მიმბაძველებისგან: ”ცივი”, გაწელილი post punk, მარტივი მაგრამ შთამბეჭდავი გიტარის აკორდებით. ხო ისე, ჯგუფის სახელი ინლისელებისთვის ენის გასატეხია, როგორც ჩვენთვის მაგალითად ”კაპიკი გაკაპიკებულა და ა.შ...”. პირველი ორი ალბომის ჩაწერის მერე Talk About the Weather (1985) და Paint Your Wagon (1986), ჯგუფი ხელს აწერს ისეთ უმსხვილეს ლეიბლთან როგირიცაა Beggars Banquet.

The Departure

The Departure are David Jones (vocals), Sam Harvey (lead guitar), Lee Irons (guitar/backing vocals), Ben Winton (bass) and Andy Hobson (drums). They live in Northampton, which has the distinction of being Britain’s biggest town (it lacks the cathedral that would give it city status) but which otherwise is a town like any other: a good record shop, a couple of live venues, but no real music scene as such. But all of this was just another incentive to The Departure, who were determined to make their own fun, in their own way. “We were bored, and we wanted to get up and do something with our lives,” says Lee. “And what better way than writing songs and being in a band? It’s the most exciting and passionate way of expressing yourself.”

The five members each bring their own very different influences and personalities into the mix, but three albums were key at the start: U2’s ‘War’, The Smiths ‘Meat Is Murder’, and Depeche Mode’s ‘Violator’. Until he was 16 David grew up in a commune without TV or radio, giving him a naïve, quirky take on popular culture. Throw The Cure, Magazine and Echo & The Bunnymen into the mix, Ben’s love of soul and funk, Lee’s parents’ Motown collection, Andy’s parents passion for roots music, Sam’s year of studying jazz theory at college (“I only did it to look clever!”) and you’re starting to get some idea of the Departure, although like all bands, together they’re much more than the sum of their individual influences. “We all fit together very well,” Andy points out. “All the parts are there for a reason, it’s all carefully thought about.”

ამ ბოლო ბერიოდში Indie Post Punk ჯგუფები სოკოებივით მომრავლდნენ. მარტინ ჰანეტმა მე მგონი თვითონაც არ იცოდა თავის დროზე რა გენიალურ საუნდს აყენებდა. რა თქმა უნდა Interpol-საც არ უნდა დავუკარგოთ თავისი დამსახურებული ღვაწლი, სწორედ მათ მოახდინეს ამ მიმდინაროების რეამინირება 90-იანი წლების ბოლოს. შვედური Indie, რომ ამერიკულ და ბრიტანულ იდუსტრიას საკმაოდ წარმატებით ეჭიდება ეს ყველამ კარგად ვიცით, მაგრამ ამჯერად ფინური ჯგუფი ავტვირთე. (ფინეთში მარტო მეტალს არ უკრავენ :აქუბარდიას სიცილი:). ჯგუფს The Orders ჰქვია და ისეთ მუსიკას უკრავენ რომ ერთდროულად იცეჯვებს და იტირებს ადამიანი. 80-იანი წლების ალტერნატიული მუსიკა ან 2000-იანების ინდი ჯგუფები (Interpol, Editors, Bloc Party and etc.) თუ გევასებათ მაშინ ჩათვალეთ რომ ეს ჯგუფი ექიმმა გამოგიწერათ.

Siglo XX

ბელგიური ანდეგრაუნდ post punk ჯგუფი Siglo XX. სახელიც მეტად უცნაურია. ესპანეთის სამოქალაქო ომის დროს ერთ-ერთი ანარქისტული ორგანიზაციის სახელი იყო. ვოკალისტი იყო ესპანელი და ალბათ სწორედ მან დაარქვა ჯგუფს ეს სახელი. მუსიკას რაც შეეხება მეტისმეტად ცივი პოსტ პანკია, მოხტუნავე ბასით, განწირული ვოკალით და ყველაფრით იმით რაც 80-იანი წლების პოსტ პანკისთვისაა დამახასიათებელი. Joy Division ვისაც გევასებათ გადმოქაჩეთ, არ ინენებთ.

ჩემი პირველი პოსტი მინდა გენიალურ ამერიკულ ბენდს The National-ს მივუძღვნა. ამ ზამთრის განმავლობაში ჩემი მუდმივი თანამგზავრია ეს ჯგუფი. ჟანრის განსაზღვრისთვის ალბათ ყველაზე შესაფერი იქნება მათი მეორე ალბომის სახელწოდება Sad Songs for Dirty Lovers. ჯგუფის შემოქმედება ზოგადად შეიძლება ნიქ ქეივის სასიამოვნო ბალადებს და 80-იანების ალტერნატიულ საუნდს შორის მოვათავსოთ, მეტისმეტად მელანქოლიური მუსიკით და ჩამაფიქრებელი ლირიკით. მათმა მეორე ალბომმა "Alligator" შტატებში ძალიან მაღალი შეფასები მიიღო. ამ წელს გამოუშვეს ბოლო ალბომი სახელად "Boxer", სადაც ყველაფერთან ერთად თქვენ მოისმენთ როიალს, ვიოლონჩელს, საკაიფო არანჟიროვკით. უნდა აღინიშნოს მეტ ბერნინგერის მეტისმეტად მოშნი ბარიტონი.
